Ugly Jerseys

After further searching for ugly jerseys I found a link to the top 25 ugliest jerseys of all time. Some I totally agree with but some less so. The jersey I found ugliest is definitely the one above. It is Hull City's jersey 1992-1993. I know that the Hull City Mascot is a tiger but this is going too far. If I played for Hull City at this time I would quit. This years jersey is way better. It's pretty cool. Here is a link to the top 25 ugliest jerseys ever. When you look at the Colorado Caribous jersey try not to throw up.

Boca Juniors Jersey

I think that I may have just found the ugliest jersey. If you are a fan of Boca Juniors I am sorry. This is Boca Juniors 3rd jersey. I think that the two purples look awful to begin with but together it is even worse. I don't like how the purples are pinstriped into the other purple. The Boca Juniors badge is blue and yellow, which doesn't go good with the purple. I think that a light and dark blue would have looked much better. I do however like the black on the collar and sleeve.

2013/2014 Celtic Jersey

This is the 2013/2014 Celtic jersey. I think that it is pretty cool. I like how it has green and white hoops. I think that it is cool how the green hoops are broken up by smaller white ones. I also like the badge on the left side. It is simple but cool looking. You can get the Celtic jersey here.

Andrew Henderson

I found this video of Andrew Henderson. Henderson is the two time defending champion of freestyle soccer. Henderson is 22 years old and practices 3-5 hours a day five days a week. His tricks are insane! I like when he is in the subway hanging on to the top while juggling. Notice the guy in the back right filming him. Click here for the video. CONCACAF Gold Cup Final

In today's CONCACAF Gold Cup final the US men's national team played Panama. The US beat Panama 1-0. Brek Shea scored the only goal of the game in the 68th minute. USA coach Jurgen Klinsmann had to watch the game from the stands as he was kicked out from the semifinal game against Costa Rica, luckily his team won. The US has now won the Gold Cup 5 times and has been the runners up the same amount. Mexico has only won the Gold Cup once more then the US has. Hopefully in the future the US will win more.

Heat Map

I found a heat map for the Germany Spain game in the 2010 World Cup semi final. I thought it was really interesting to see. I did the conversion from meters to mile and the person that covered the most ground was Xavi. He covered 7.65 miles in almost 95 minutes. Germany's goal keeper Neur covered 2,210 more meters than Spain's goal keeper Casillas. You can find the heat maps here.

If you are a crazy fan for a team in the MLS then you need a warface mask for your favorite team. There is a mask for almost every team, if not every team. Above is a mask for my favorite MLS team but I think the Sporting Kansas City mask is the best looking. You can get your mask at soccer.com. Just search for warface mask and whatever MLS team you like best.

U.S. Men's Soccer

I found a picture that I really like of the USMNT cleats in their locker room. My favorite cleats of those in the picture are probably the red Tiempos with the white swoosh or Beasley's Mercurials. I got this picture from ussoccer on instagram. I think it's funny how in the left side of the picture there is a pair of shoes that aren't cleats.

Mi Coach

This is the Adidas Mi Coach speed cell. The Mi Coach speed cell measures how many sprints you have made, how far you have traveled, speed and a couple of other things. I have a Mi Coach that I wear when I play. My cleats are Adidas and the speed cell just slips into my left cleat under the sole. I like wearing the Mi Coach because it can help you see if you are getting faster or being more active. To get the information off of the speed cell you plug in the flash drive into your computer.

USMNT vs Cuba

Yesterday the US men's national team played Cuba at Rio Tinto in Utah. Landon Donavan scored a penalty kick two minutes into first half stoppage time. Donavon's goal made the score 1-1. In the 55th minute Joe Corona scored another goal for the US. Chris Wondolowski scored two goals, one in the 64th and  one in the 83rd minute. The final score was US-4 and Cuba-1. Three Real Salt Lake players started on their home field. Nick Rimando, Kyle Beckerman and Tony Beltran made the three Real players that started.

USMNT vs Belize

In the opening game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup for US men's national team the US beat Belize    6-1. Chris Wondolowski scored a hat trick, the first three goals for US, and they were all in the first half. After Wondolowski scored Stuart Holden scored, then Michael Orozco. Both goals were assisted by Landon Donavon. The 6th and final goal was scored by Donavon. Beckerman was subbed out for Holden, Corona was subbed out for Bedoya, and Torres was subbed out for Shea. USA is the top in Group C currently with their next match on July 13th at Rio Tinto against Cuba.

Carlos Tevez

Carlos Tevez has left the Barclays Premier League and is joining Serie A. Tevez was playing for Manchester City and has now moved to Juventus. Tevez said that he turned down an offer from AC Milan in order to play for Juventus. He had played in the Premier League for 7 years before leaving to go to Italy. Tevez played on West Ham, Manchester United and then Manchester City. Juventus payed 10 million pounds for Tevez. Without Tevez Manchester City's two forwards will be Sergio Aguero and Edin Dzeko. It will be interesting how Tevez will play on his new team.

USMNT game tonight

Tonight the USMNT is playing Belize in the opening game of the CONCACAF Gold Cup. The game is at 8pm Pacific Time or 11pm Eastern Time. For a play by play of the game click here. I am happy to see Nick Rimando and Kyle Beckerman of Real Salt Lake starting and I am also excited to see Landon Donavon. Hopefully Tony Beltran, also from Real Salt Lake will make an appearance in tonight's game. The game is taking place at the Portland Timber's stadium in Oregon.



The US national team will be playing a 4-1-3-2. In the Guatemala game I didn't like how much passing back the US national team was doing in the 1st half. I hope that tonight they play more offensive from the beginning. It should be a great game.

Nicolas Anelka

  

  Nicolas Anelka is back in the Barclays Premier League.. Anelka has transferred to West Bromwich Albion from Shanghai Shenhua. Anelka was on loan at Juventus for 5 months. This is Anelka's 6th Premier League team. He has been on Arsenal, Liverpool, Manchester City, Bolton Wanderers, Chelsea and now West Brom. Anelka has said that he would like to finish his career in England. In all competitions in the Premier League Anelka has a total of 159 goals. 

New Paris Saint Germain Jersey

This is the new Paris Saint Germain (PSG) jersey. I love the colors. I like the red on the end of the sleeves and how it comes up from the bottom, stops at the Fly Emirates logo and continues as white up to the collar. I like how rather than having the nike swoosh be red it is white with blue on the inside part where it overlaps the big white block. It's too bad that David Beckham won't be playing anymore. Chicharito T-shirt

I found this Chicharito shirt when I was looking for the Cristiano Ronaldo shirt. Chicharito scored 10 goals for Manchester United last season in league. In cup Chicharito scored 4 goals. In league cup Chicharito scored 1 goal. Chicharito is also part of the Mexican national team. Since 2009 he has already scored 35 goals for the Mexican national team making him tied for the third best goalscorer ever for Mexico. Ahead of him is the second top goalscorer Cuauhtémoc Blanco with 39 goals and the top goalscorer is Jared Borgetti with 46 goals. Hopefully Chicharito can score 12 more goals so he can be the top goalscorer for Mexico. On Chicharito's Nike Hero t-shirt is says living the dream and agile. I think it is really cool how the faces on the Nike Hero t-shirts are all made up of words. You can get this t-shirt here.

Ronaldo T-shirt

I found this T-shirt of Cristiano Ronaldo on www.nike.com. Ronaldo is one of my all time favorite players. I loved when he was part of the Manchester United team. In this past season for Real Madrid Ronaldo scored 34 goals in 30 La Liga starts. I like how on this shirt Ronaldo's face is made up of words like threatening, relentless and dynamic. I like the red and the green showing his national team, Portugal, colors.  The Nike Hero Ronaldo t-shirt is even on sale now.

Yesterday's USMNT Game

Yesterday USMNT played Guatemala. USMNT won 6-0. Because the match was just a friendly, Jozy Altidore didn't play. It was great to see Landon Donovan play again. Donavon scored his 50th goal for the U.S. national team on a penalty kick and later in the game he scored again for his 51st national team goal. I was also happy to see Kyle Beckerman and Nick Rimando of Real Salt Lake play. The next USMNT game is going to be on July 9th against Belize. This game is part of the CONCACAF Gold Cup.

Jozy Altidore to Sunderland

 Jozy Altidore, a member of the US Men's National Team (USMNT) is back in the Barclays Premier League. Altidore just  transferred from AZ Alkmaar to Sunderland.  You can catch Jozy playing with the USMNT tonight against Guatamala as they try to qualify for the World Cup.  Want to support Jozy Altidore and USMNT?  Get his jersey here.
