Last Sunday Independiente Santa Fe played Boyaca Chico. Santa Fe was the away team and somehow they forgot to bring their away jerseys. They had their home jerseys but because they were the same color as Chico's home jersey they couldn't wear them. To start the game Santa Fe wore their gray warm up jerseys and taped their numbers on the back. Because of the humidity and sweat the numbers began to peel off. At half time Santa Fe decided to buy counterfeit jerseys from a street vendor and color in their name and number on the back. The jerseys only cost $6.37. Santa Fe ended up winning 2-0. After the game Santa Fe's club president issued a statement apologizing to Umbro for using fake jerseys.
